Accountability and Opportunity
At Step One Halfway House, residents earn their place through our Scholarship Program, building responsibility while gaining access to on-the-job training and workforce opportunities. Together, we create a structured path toward independence and a sustainable future.
90 – Day Housing Program
Phase One
Day 1-30
Scholarship Work Program
- Orientation and review of the Housing Participation Agreement.
- Assigned housing duties and work schedule introduction.
- Weekly check-in with the Housing Coordinator.
- Curfew at 9:00 PM.
- Overnight passes not available during this phase.
Phase Two
Days 30-60
Building Responsibility
- Continue assigned housing duties with increased independence
- Attend weekly house meetings and take on additional responsibilities in shared spaces
- Curfew may be extended to 11:00 PM upon request and approval
- Overnight pass requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Phase Three
Days 60-90
Preparing for Next Steps
- Sustained volunteer service and housing responsibilities
- Advanced independence and transition planning
- Curfew extended to 11:00 PM
- Overnight passes available (with approval)
- Graduation review and next-step housing/independence planning
